La Tizná offers a unique gastronomic experience, based on sensations.
The dishes on the breakfast, brunch and lunch menus have been designed by María Ángeles Muñoz with fresh, organic and seasonal food together with a bit of local tradition and an avant-garde aesthetic. A restaurant specialising in slow cooking, it serves flexitarian dishes, stews, eggs from happy hens, meats and a wide range of vegan dishes, breaking with tradition to welcome all who enter.
A very personal wine list has been designed by sommelier José Antonio Barragán, in which he tells the origin, history and evolution of the area and shares where some unique treasures can be found. Including treasures that he has personally sought out and brought back to share with La Tizná and its guests.
The coffee is organic, rich-tasting and delicious, the sourdough bread is made slowly and the sweets are perfect. Also, being a shop, you can take the experience home to share with others and extend the enjoyment that La Tizná offers.
María Ángeles Muñoz Hornillo
Consultant and manager specialising in sustainable catering, she has developed her professional career in the field of food production and the planning of spaces and facilities. She is a Higher Technician in Catering Establishments. Nutritionist and permaculture enthusiast. M. Ángeles and José Antonio have developed their most personal project, a sustainable restaurant with direct sales from the Andalusian countryside, called La Tizná.
José Antonio Barragán
Experienced sommelier, host and trainer, with a wide professional experience developed in five star hotels and prestigious restaurants. José Antonio is a service technician, specialising in local, fortified, sherry, Andalusian, organic, natural and biodynamic wines.
He has received several awards and recognitions in his professional career: Al-Ándalus Award 2015 for the best head waiter in Andalusia. Best sommelier in the province of Cádiz 2018, representing him in the 24th National Sommelier Championship. Founding member of the ASC (Association of Sommeliers of Cádiz). Starring in the documentary ¨Revolución Líquida¨ alongside renowned sommeliers such as Celler de Can Roca and Mugaritz.
