OUR STORY
The Mussea Country House Chalet & Barn Loft is an ideal destination for guests seeking an exclusive and romantic vacation in the countryside. Our farm has been lovingly restored to offer a touch of luxury in two spacious holiday homes. Each home has a private wellness area with its own sauna, providing the perfect place to relax and unwind.
The farm is located at the foot of the Fichtelgebirge, an enchanting region of Upper Franconia. You can enjoy the quiet lakes, unspoiled nature and the warm hospitality of the locals ensuring your getaway will be an unforgettable experience.

Münchberger Tisch
Solidarity starts at the front door! We are very happy to support the Münchberger Tisch with donations.
The Münchberger Tisch is an association of various sponsors and many volunteers who work alongside the city, businesses and companies to support the ‘table’. All employees work on a voluntary basis and have set themselves the goal of helping financially disadvantaged fellow citizens by collecting, organising and delivering potential food waste (for example, freshly baked goods that haven’t sold that day) and redirecting it to locals in need.

A dream of an old farm, first mentioned in 1550! And then in 2002 Tanja and Andreas moved into it as career changers. Their passion grew and their love of detail for their guests came together with genuine sustainability as early as the building stage. Only local trades & materials, as well as their own composting, organic sewage treatment plant & e-charging stations. The whole project has been thoroughly thought through from the very beginning!

But there is more to Mussea than just a place to stay; we are passionate and heartfelt hosts who care about your comfort and satisfaction. We act intuitively and treat you with genuine hospitality, above all we are authentic!
We appreciate that our guests choose to spend their valuable holiday time with us. That’s why we strive to make them feel welcome and comfortable, as if they were staying with friends. We also love hosting guests with dogs! We know how hard it can be for pet owners to find well-equipped accommodation that allows animals, so we make sure ours is pet-friendly.
We enjoy sharing our knowledge of the local tourism scene with our guests over a cup of coffee and a hiking map. We want them to experience the best of our region and feel at home here.
We maintain a close and respectful relationship with all our suppliers and we take social responsibility for our team seriously. That’s how we ensure the quality and sustainability of our service.
We promote barrier-free travel, and especially welcome holidaymakers with disabilities in wheelchairs. We have holidaymakers in wheelchairs who return again and again to both of our houses, because our accessibility set up works well for them.
We bought our old and charming Franconian farm in 2002 and have been restoring it with love and care ever since. It is important to us to manage our precious piece of land, thus keeping a piece of history alive and creating a sustainable home for future generations.
We have also made a big change in our careers! In the summer of 2016, we opened our Mussea Country House Chalet, which was a long-held dream come true for us.
As a real, down-to-earth Upper Franconian, we love to spoil people with beautiful things and a unique service. Paying attention to the smaller, luxurious details set within absolute privacy is especially close to our hearts. The Fichtel Mountains surrounding us – a quiet, pristine region – especially inspires nature lovers.
In spring 2022 we were able to fulfil another wish; our second house, the Mussea Barn Loft, was ready for its first guests.
We show how a luxurious holiday in the cottage sector can also be eco-friendly and sustainable.

OUR STORY
The absolute isolation of Hotelcamp Reinsehlen with impressive views into the vast surrounding 25-hectare wilderness is an experience in itself. Here, nature is allowed to unfold freely and the hotel itself has been harmoniously constructed using natural materials to further amplify this philosophy.

Viva con Agua de Sankt Pauli is a charity founded in 2006 in the Hamburg quarter of St. Pauli. Viva con Agua is a network of people and organizations committed to establish access to clean drinking water and basic sanitation for all humans worldwide.

The concept, the building structure, the unique location – the 25 hectare Camp Reinsehlen is a special place, an incomparable expanse amid endless nature in a stunning location. A wide range of opportunities for new experiences, relaxation and recreation are available to our guests. Often guests compare the location and design of our hotel with a stay in the African Savannah.
