Hotel Magnolia

The Luxury of the Essential

OUR STORY

After a careful and detailed renovation of a 1929 mansion, the doors of Hotel Magnolia opened in August 2016. The 40-room hotel is the first of its kind in Santiago’s downtown El Centro neighbourhood: a seamless fusion of the city’s past and its future, offering historic beauty mixed with luxurious accommodations and gourmet gastronomy, located at the foot of Cerro Santa Lucía.

The hotel is surrounded by iconic tourist places that offer our guests the possibility of truly experiencing the history of the city, including the architecture and history of the hotel itself.

Eco Certifications

Just as we admire each of our hosts for their singularity, we appreciate that their sustainability journeys are also unique. Because of this, we do not require our hosts to have an eco certification or two under their belt, we simply guide them on improving their sustainable business practices one imperfect – but positive – step at a time. If a host has eco certifications they will be shown below, if not, then know we are working towards this together.

NGOs & Local Impact Projects Supported

Each of our hosts strive to have a positive impact on their local communities. Some of our hosts already have established connections with local partners to enrich the lives and wellbeing of their communities, others are in the process of creating these long term relationships. If a host has local NGO connections they will be shown below, if not, then know we are working towards this together.

What our hosts say..

Transparency is essential if we are all going to grow and improve together and this is why we have dedicated this section to sharing what we love about each place and its hosts. We work with each of our hosts to improve their guest experiences, sustainability practices and local impact, this is where you can learn more about that along with what still needs to be improved, the measures being taken to ensure our hosts continue to move forward and every now and then we’ll come back to update you on their progress.

Our rooms represent an oasis of rest that welcome us to spaces full of history, each room highlights incredible details such as the original stained glass windows of the heritage building and much more, guaranteeing elegance and comfort. You’re invited to enjoy exclusive cocktails on the terrace, a wide selection of wines and the best that our cuisine can offer, with an unbeatable view of Cerro Santa Lucía.

Gastronomy is also an important factor for us here at Hotel Magnolia, and that is why we always seek to innovate.

In our restaurant the menu is focused on breaking away from the routine and setting a pattern; simple dishes, but with striking flavors; unique staging and top-of-the-line service.

We focus on using fresh and seasonal ingredients. Our Chef delights guests with his modern takes on Chilean cuisine and the creative use of Chilean ingredients, awakening your palate and delighting your senses.

WE ARE YOUR HOSTS –
Consuelo & Angelo

The Magnolia team is always ready to welcome our guests and make them feel at home with the premise of offering them a unique and unforgettable experience.

Leading the team is Consuelo Pfeng, General Manager; who is part of the family that runs Hotel Magnolia and ensures that everything works perfectly. What she enjoys the most about her day-to-day is the possibility to create, to serve others and the opportunity to change their lives, even if only for a moment,  by warmly welcoming them to relax and enjoy the comfort that Hotel Magnolia provides.

On the other hand, there is Angelo Figuera, the Marketing Manager. Angelo is in charge of capturing all the incredible moments that guests spend in the hotel as well as paying attention to the details that make a difference; whether that means decorating a space to celebrate a guest’s birthday or creating a beautiful photocollage to personalise the experience of each person staying at the hotel.

OUR STORY

Nestled within a 10 hectare park, surrounded by forests of native trees and on a plateau that provides an impressive ocean view, the hotel is defined by its Rustic-Elegant style, giving new life to the traditional architecture of the archipelago. Its owners commissioned the architect Edward Rojas to value the nature, attractions and history of the island while connecting guests with its culture and mythology.

  • REVIVING THE ISLAND’S INDIGENOUS PRODUCE

By growing our own produce we bring the forgotten traditional flavours of the island back to life

  • REST, RELAX, RECUPERATE IN SOLITUDE

Soak your senses; a woody aroma, the warmth of the water, the pleasure of the view, the pure air

  • CHAMPIONING OUR TRADITIONAL CROPS

The Chiloé archipelago conserves our dynamic culture, flora and fauna

  • COMMITTED TO OUR LOCAL COMMUNITY

Our hotel has become a source of quality employment for the inhabitants of Chiloé

Situated on a plateau and immersed within native woodland, we invite you to discover the inescapable charm of Chiloé through our surrounding nature and the sea.

Originally conceived as a sustainable hotel, dedicated in its commitment to the environment, the community and local development, the hotel is characterised by its offers and services according to, and consistent with, these principles.

We live harmoniously alongside the land that provides abundant ferns and the forests of native species such as the Luma, the Coigüe, the Olivillo, the Arrayan, the Canelo, the Hazelnut and the Tepu. Our goal is for guests to truly experience the archipelago authentically and as such we are reviving the warmth and familial atmosphere typically given by the rural homes of southern Chile.

I AM YOUR HOST –
Arturo Perez Mandiola

Hotel Parque Quilquico was realised by friends and tourism entrepreneurs with the purpose of conserving and protecting the architectural and patrimonial heritage of the Island of Chiloé, its environment and nature.

We are a team of passionate and nature-loving hosts, well aware of our responsibility to the planet and our local communities. We enjoy a deep love for what we do and cherish our role in bringing true happiness to each of our guests.

Located on a hill overlooking the Dacahue canal, in one of the most remote regions of Chile, you will experience the truly authentic Chiloé where the land and the sea merge to deliver the beauty of its natural resources and where daily culture and traditions live on.

We want to share this experience with our guests and welcome you to become a part of the magic of Chiloé. We are waiting for you!
