La Tizná

Savour fresh, local flavours at La Tizná, a cosy Andalusian eatery honouring heritage with organic, seasonal cuisine and a shop sourcing from small family producers

La Tizná is a cosy eating house with a F.L.O.S.S. philosophy (fresh, local, organic, sustainable and seasonal products) where you can enjoy breakfast, brunch or lunch, as well as an eco-shop with products direct from the Andalusian countryside, from small family producers where you can shop. This unique space is named in homage to the women who worked in charcoal kitchens and were never professionally recognised.

La Tizná offers a unique gastronomic experience, based on sensations.

The dishes on the breakfast, brunch and lunch menus have been designed by María Ángeles Muñoz with fresh, organic and seasonal food together with a bit of local tradition and an avant-garde aesthetic. A restaurant specialising in slow cooking, it serves flexitarian dishes, stews, eggs from happy hens, meats and a wide range of vegan dishes, breaking with tradition to welcome all who enter.

A very personal wine list has been designed by sommelier José Antonio Barragán, in which he tells the origin, history and evolution of the area and shares where some unique treasures can be found. Including treasures that he has personally sought out and brought back to share with La Tizná and its guests.

The coffee is organic, rich-tasting and delicious, the sourdough bread is made slowly and the sweets are perfect. Also, being a shop, you can take the experience home to share with others and extend the enjoyment that La Tizná offers.

Our insights..

Transparency is essential if we are all going to grow and improve together and this is why we have dedicated this section to sharing what we love about each place and its hosts. We work with each of our hosts to improve their guest experiences, sustainability practices and local impact, this is where you can learn more about that along with what still needs to be improved, the measures being taken to ensure our hosts continue to move forward and every now and then we’ll come back to update you on their progress.

Eco Certifications & Efforts

Just as we admire each of our hosts for their singularity, we appreciate that their sustainability journeys are also unique. Because of this, we do not require our hosts to have an eco certification or two under their belt, we simply guide them on improving their sustainable business practices one imperfect – but positive – step at a time. If a host has eco certifications they will be shown below, if not, then know we are working towards this together.
